Job Description
Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Melbourne (Onsite 4 days/week for the first 6 months, then offshore)
Time Zone: Australian Time Zone
Job Overview:
We are looking for experienced Business Analysts to join a critical program in Melbourne.
The role requires strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Candidates must be available to work onsite for the first 6 months and then transition to
offshore support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and product/technology teams
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to define current and target business
states
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Prioritize and refine the product backlog in collaboration with agile teams
- Support development of both technical and non-technical solution components
- Lead and participate in solution discovery and planning workshops
- Create process models, data models, business rules, and workflows
- Support UAT and Business Verification Testing
- Work with change managers to assess solution impacts
Skills & Capabilities:
Essential:
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Customer-centric approach with solid decision-making abilities
- Adaptable, organized, and capable of planning effectively
- Strong problem-solving and innovative mindset
Additional:
- Proven analytical and facilitation skills
- Agile project experience (Scrum/Kanban)
- Strong understanding of financial products and processes
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and drive stakeholder alignment
- Clear and effective communication with cross-functional teams
- Experience Required:
- Prior experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in the financial domain
- Exposure to Card Acquiring and Issuing is a plus
- Experience with workshops, stakeholder engagement, and user story writing
- Ability to convert business needs into actionable features and user stories
Qualification:
Bachelors Degree in Business or related field (Post-graduate preferred)

- Legal, Risk, and Financial Crime Teams
- Change & Assurance Teams
Additional Notes:
- This is a priority hiring requirement
- Candidates must be open to relocating to Melbourne for the first 6 months
- The role will continue offshore after the initial period
