QA Engineer @ Appiness Interactive

Job Description

As a QA Engineer specializing in API and SQL, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing API test cases using tools like Postman or similar applications. Your role will also involve performing comprehensive SQL-based backend data validation and collaborating with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. It will be crucial for you to review and analyze system specifications and business requirements, document and report bugs, and follow up until resolution. Additionally, you will be expected to identify, record, and track bugs using standard bug tracking tools, contribute to test planning, test execution, and test reporting processes. To excel in this role, you should possess 6 to 8 years of experience in Manual/Functional Testing with a strong emphasis on API and database testing. Proficiency in REST API testing tools like Postman and Swagger, as well as a strong knowledge of SQL for data validation and verification, will be essential. Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes is required, along with experience in using bug tracking tools such as JIRA or similar platforms. Excellent communication and analytical skills are key attributes for success in this position. Experience in automation testing will be considered a valuable asset. Candidates for this position should be willing to work in rotational shifts and the work location will be in Chennai. Preference will be given to individuals who can join immediately or within a notice period of up to 15 days.
