GSPANN is looking for Network Engineer - L3 Support.
Experience: 8+ Years
Job location: Hyderabad/Gurugram
Required skills: Cisco switches, APs, wireless controllers, Palo Alto and Azure firewalls, Infoblox, Microsoft DNS/DHCP, Load balancers (F5, Azure), Cisco ISE, TACACS.
We are seeking a highly experienced L3 Network Engineer to lead the resolution of complex network issues, drive proactive infrastructure improvements, and support strategic initiatives across on-premises and cloud environments. This role involves deep technical expertise in firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure, cloud networking, and automation. The L3 Engineer will serve as a senior escalation point, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with OEMs and cross-functional teams to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of the network.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Troubleshooting & Escalation
- Act as the final escalation point for L0-L2 teams for all network-related incidents.
- Lead root cause analysis and problem management for recurring or high-impact issues.
- Coordinate with OEMs (Cisco, Palo Alto, Microsoft, etc.) to resolve issues within SLA.
Infrastructure Management
- Manage and optimize:
- Firewalls (Palo Alto Cloud & On-Prem, Azure Firewall)
- Cisco Network Switches & Access Points
- Wireless Controllers & DNAC
- Network Authentication Services (Cisco ISE, TACACS)
- Load Balancers (F5, Azure)
- DDI Services (Infoblox, MS DNS/DHCP)
- Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS)
- Oversee commissioning/decommissioning of physical and virtual assets.
Automation & Tooling
- Design and implement automation for:
- Health monitoring and incident healing
- Asset lifecycle management
- Patching and upgrades
- Batch job execution and provisioning
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and FinOps initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure 24/7/365 monitoring and operations across global time zones.
- Execute expedite changes and fulfill service requests with minimal disruption.
- Lead capacity, performance, and availability management efforts.
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain and enforce:
- SOPs, hardening documents, and patching policies
- License, warranty, and contract tracking
- DR and backup restoration drill plans
- Support ITIL-aligned processes: Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration, Availability, and Service Level Management.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
- Drive continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and train L0-L2 engineers.
- Lead upgrade and refresh projects to maintain supported versions and hardware.
Required skills:
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.
- Expert-level knowledge of:
- Cisco networking (Switches, APs, DNAC)
- Palo Alto and Azure firewalls
- Infoblox, Microsoft DNS/DHCP
- Wireless LAN and controllers
- Cloud networking (Azure, AWS)
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience with monitoring, asset management, and orchestration tools.
- Deep understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise operations
