About the Role:
Join our innovative team as a Network Automation Engineer, where you'll design and implement automation solutions that enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our hybrid network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop network automation solutions using Python, Netmiko, Paramiko, Nornir, and RESTful APIs.
- Automate network device configurations and operations, integrating with tools like Ansible, Terraform, SolarWinds, and ServiceNow.
- Manage and automate WAN/LAN routing and switching (IOS XE, SD-WAN, Campus/Data Center Switching) and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN, GRE, IPSEC).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform across on-prem and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Automate deployment and management of network resources in hybrid cloud setups.
- Integrate automation with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) for enhanced network visibility.
- Automate tasks using Infoblox DDI for DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
Collaborate with network engineers to identify automation opportunities and gather requirements. - Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation scripts and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues.
- Automate ServiceNow processes and integrate it with other network tools.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and stay current with trends in network automation and AI.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Expert-level proficiency in Python.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, and data center technologies (VXLAN, BGP, OSPF).
- Hands-on experience with Netmiko, Paramiko, Nornir, and RESTful APIs.
- Proficiency in Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience in cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of Infoblox DDI and monitoring tools like SolarWinds.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP).
- Experience with Go, Bash, or other programming languages.
- CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Familiarity with network security best practices.
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes.
- ServiceNow development/administration.
- NetFlow data analysis experience.
- Experience in AI-driven automation, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, or root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of Agentic AI and emerging AI trends.
