Senior Data & Analytics Engineer @ Cisco

Job Description

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand metric requirements, identify new data sources and deliver actionable insights.

Ensure data architecture performance, data security and compliance with relevant regulations.

Be responsible for dashboards, SLA reports, and visualizations to communicate metrics to executives and customers.

Mentor and guide data engineers and team members, leading technical discussions and contributing to strategic planning within the data analytics team.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics and data engineering.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data analysis, data pipeline engineering, or a related role.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with agile software development and version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
