Role: IT Engineer
IT System Administrator will be responsible for the management, configuration, and maintenance of our server infrastructure, applications, and software systems. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Salary: Rs 1.51 to 2.25 Lacs Monthly
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Education Required: B.Tech/B.E. in Information Technology, Computers, Electrical; BCA in Computers; B.Sc. in Computers; Diploma in Computers or Electrical
Japanese proficiency: JLPT N5/N4/N3
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as an IT system administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Proficiency in managing and supporting enterprise applications and software.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
1. Server Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, including physical and virtual environments.
- Monitor server performance and ensure optimal operation.
- Perform regular system backups and ensure disaster recovery procedures are in place.
- Manage server security, including updates, patches, and vulnerability assessments.
2. Application Management:
- Install, configure, and manage enterprise applications and software.
- Ensure application performance and availability through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy and integrate new applications.
3. Software Management:
- Oversee the installation, licensing, and updates of software across the organization.
- Manage software inventory and compliance.
- Provide technical support for software-related issues and assist users with software installations and configurations.
4. Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
5. System Upgrades and Maintenance:
- Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system health checks and performance tuning.
6. Project Involvement:
- Participate in IT projects related to system improvements and upgrades.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to achieve project goals and objectives.
