Job Description
Role Objective
To manage and streamline procurement operations for civil and infrastructure projects across India, ensuring timely sourcing of materials and services while optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement for Pan-India civil, construction, and infrastructure projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts for materials, services, and equipment to ensure the best commercial terms.
- Forecast procurement needs in coordination with the project and engineering teams.
- Track material requirements and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, quality standards, and statutory compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, vendor performance, and delivery timelines.
- Analyze market trends and price fluctuations to support strategic sourcing.
- Regularly report procurement performance metrics to senior management.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, procurement processes, and vendor management.
- Experience in handling logistics and supply chain operations for multi-location projects.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy and control.
- Willingness to travel as per project requirements.
Preference Skills
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the construction/infrastructure industry.
- Experience in managing procurement for projects across multiple states in India.
- Educational background in Civil Engineering or Construction-related disciplines is preferred.
