Job Description
- You are an experienced tax professional with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in Australian Taxation, seeking to step into a leadership role with growth potential in Ahmedabad. As the Taxation Head for Australia, you will be responsible for managing all tax-related matters, leading a team of accountants, ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws, and serving as a primary point of contact for client communication. Your key responsibilities will include leading and managing the Australian tax division, preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities, overseeing BAS, GST, FBT, and other compliance filings, providing tax planning and advisory services to Australian clients, ensuring compliance with ATO regulations and tax law changes, mentoring junior team members, facilitating direct client communication for tax-related matters, and optimizing internal tax processes for efficiency and accuracy. To excel in this role, you must possess strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, ATO compliance, and reporting standards, familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or similar platforms, excellent communication and leadership skills, and ideally hold a CA/CPA qualification from India or Australia. It is essential that you are based in Ahmedabad or willing to relocate for this full-time position.
