Job Description
- You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in mobile and website testing. As a Mobile and Website Tester, your responsibilities will include: Requirements Analysis: You will be required to understand and review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to create a detailed test plan. Collaborate with the development team and project managers to outline testing scope, objectives, methodologies, and resource requirements. Test Case Design and Automation: Develop comprehensive test cases and test scripts based on software requirements and functional specifications. Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools. Collaborate with cross-product teams for cross-product integration testing. Test Execution: Perform manual testing to identify and report defects or issues in software functionality, user interface, performance, and usability. Conduct various tests, including functional, regression, installation, integration, database, migration, upgrade, and compatibility testing. Bug Reporting: Document and report software defects using bug tracking tools, providing detailed steps to reproduce issues and relevant information for the development team. Regression Testing: Conduct regular regression testing to ensure new changes do not negatively impact existing functionalities and features. Debugging and Troubleshooting: Take responsibility for debugging and troubleshooting issues/environments to bring them to closure effectively. Ad Hoc and Exploratory Testing: Conduct exploratory testing to uncover defects that might not be apparent through structured test cases, simulating real-world user interactions. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Collaborate with end-users or stakeholders during UAT to assist them in understanding the software and addressing any concerns or issues raised. Test Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date testing documentation, including test plans, test cases, test results, and other relevant reports. Communication: Regularly communicate with the development team, project managers, and stakeholders to provide testing progress updates, bug status, and address potential risks or challenges. Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, proposing suggestions to optimize the testing process and enhance overall software quality. Test Environment Setup: Set up and configure the testing environment to closely resemble the production environment for accurate testing results. Cross-Browser and Cross-Platform Testing: Verify software compatibility across various web browsers, devices, and operating systems. Security and Performance Testing: Collaborate with specialized teams to conduct security testing and performance testing, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring optimal software performance. Skills Required: 1. Sound knowledge of manual testing for both Mobile and Website applications. 2. Mobile testing experience, including Native or Cross-Platform App testing, is essential. 3. Familiarity with continuous deployment and integration practices. 4. Excellent understanding of test fundamentals and proficient use of test management and defect tracking tools. 5. Ability to perform Functional, Regression, Integration, and Acceptance testing involving UI and business components. 6. Proficiency in automation framework implementation using Selenium. 7. Experience with SoapUI / Web Service testing. 8. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. 9. Strong ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail.,
