Job Description
- As an IoT System Design Engineer at 360Watts, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in developing innovative automation modules for rooftop solar energy systems. Your main responsibility will involve designing and implementing an end-to-end energy IoT layer to enhance the functionality and efficiency of our solar products. Your daily tasks will include designing and developing IoT system architecture, customizing automation logic based on 360Watts's product strategy, and programming embedded systems to ensure seamless communication between solar system devices and energy management software. Additionally, you will be involved in hardware prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting to validate the functionality and integration of the IoT system architecture. Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with solar system hardware engineers, software developers, and UX designers to conceptualize, design, and test various automation use-cases. Your expertise in developing embedded firmware for microcontrollers, sensor integration, smart energy circuits, and control systems within industrial or energy environments will be essential for success in this role. To excel in this position, you should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Embedded Systems, or a related field, along with hands-on experience in embedded systems, prototyping, testing, and validation. A strong understanding of communication protocols such as MODBUS RTU/TCP, CAN, and IoT architectures and networking technologies like MQTT, HTTP, Zigbee, WiFi, and LTE will also be advantageous.
