Job Description
- As an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer at Matlabs Technologies, you will be an integral part of our engineering and project execution team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, integrate, install, commission, and provide service support for electrical and instrumentation systems in various industrial projects. Your role will involve collaborating with industry leaders and innovators to deliver world-class equipment, engineering services, and turnkey project support. Key responsibilities include designing and developing control panels, wiring diagrams, and instrumentation layouts, selecting and integrating sensors, transmitters, PLCs, HMIs, and field instruments, collaborating with mechanical and software engineers on equipment integration, conducting electrical and instrumentation installation at customer sites, performing system testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and commissioning, supporting FAT/SAT, validation, and documentation activities, ensuring compliance with electrical and safety standards, developing product documentation, manuals, and user guides, providing post-installation service and technical support to clients, and working closely with suppliers and vendors for sourcing and specification of components. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering with 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical & instrumentation engineering. Experience in the battery, chemical, EV, or process industry is a plus. You should possess a strong knowledge of electrical circuits, control systems, instrumentation, and industrial automation, be proficient in using design tools like AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, etc., and have familiarity with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and communication protocols (Modbus, RS485, Ethernet, etc.). Additionally, you should be able to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics, have a good understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices, be willing to travel for on-site installations and service support, and have strong communication, team collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
