Job Description
- As a Support O&M in the LMS department, you will be responsible for operating machinery involved in copper tube manufacturing processes. This includes operating equipment such as casting machines, rolling machines, drawing & grooving machines, annealing furnaces, and finishing equipment. Your role will involve monitoring production processes to ensure smooth operations, meet daily targets, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime. You will also be conducting regular quality checks on intermediate and final products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards. In addition, you will perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. It will be essential to identify and diagnose equipment issues, mechanical failures, or malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality. Safety compliance is a critical aspect of this role, where you will need to adhere to safety protocols and procedures, handle materials safely, and follow lockout/tagout/tryout procedures during maintenance activities. Maintaining accurate records of production output, equipment maintenance activities, and quality control checks will be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with production teams, supervisors, and maintenance technicians is essential to ensure effective communication and collaboration in resolving issues and achieving production targets. Your participation in continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback, suggesting process enhancements, and implementing best practices will help optimize production efficiency. The technical skills required for this role include equipment operation, maintenance procedures, mechanical skills, troubleshooting, safety protocols, quality control techniques, blueprint reading, computer literacy, preventive maintenance, and emergency response. Behavioral skills such as attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, adaptability, teamwork, and effective communication will also be crucial for success in this position.,
