Reports To: Front End Development Lead / Digital Experience Manager
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced AEM Content Front End Developer to join our team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of front-end development experience with at least 3 years working within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). You will play a key role in building and maintaining responsive, high-performance websites integrated with AEM, collaborating closely with designers, developers, and content teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain front-end components and templates within the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x or AEM as a Cloud Service) environment.
- Convert design mockups and wireframes into high-quality, responsive, accessible HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
- Collaborate with UX designers, AEM backend developers, and content authors to implement AEM components and templates that support digital content strategies.
- Ensure cross-browser, cross-device compatibility, performance, and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 standards).
- Optimize web pages for speed, performance, and SEO.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
- Work closely with QA teams to resolve front-end issues and bugs.
- Maintain and contribute to the development of reusable UI components and front-end standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) front-end development.
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind).
- Proficient with AEM client libraries, Sightly (HTL), and component authoring.
- Experience working with version control systems (e.g., Git) and task runners (e.g., Webpack, NPM).
- Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON for dynamic data integration.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, or other Adobe Experience Cloud tools.
- Exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js.
- Basic knowledge of Java (helpful for collaborating with AEM back-end developers).
- Experience with personalization and A/B testing in AEM.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment workflows.
