Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with 5- 8 years of experience in platform engineering, with strong expertise in AWS serverless architecture, GoLang, and Infrastructure as Code. This role focuses on building robust, scalable backend systems and APIs, designing event-driven architectures, and ensuring reliable infrastructure and API test automation. Experience with PostgreSQL on RDS and cloud-native development aligned with the AWS Well-Architected Framework is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop cloud-native backend services using AWS Serverless technologies and GoLang.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven components using Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS and other AWS services.
- Implement data persistence and integration using Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL) and DynamoDB where appropriate.
- Define and automate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK / CloudFormation.
- Design and enforce comprehensive infrastructure and API testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Ensure solutions follow the AWS Well-Architected Framework with focus on performance, security, cost, and reliability.
- Build robust CI/CD pipelines and automate environment provisioning and deployment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 58 years of experience in software/platform engineering with a strong backend development focus.
- Proficiency in GoLang with experience developing backend microservices and serverless applications.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS (PostgreSQL), DynamoDB.
- Experience of working with GreenGrass V2 and component development using Golang
- Proficient in implementing Infrastructure as Code using CDK or CloudFormation.
- Experience with automated infrastructure and API testing, including tools such as Postman, Insomnia, Pytest, or custom test frameworks.
- CI/CD tools Jenkins for Lambda, Docker and OS Builds
- Understanding of software security principles, API authentication/authorization, and secure coding practices.
- Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework and best practices in cloud-native development.
- Exposure to monitoring/logging frameworks like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate/Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional
