Software Test Engineer @ Invenzo Labs

Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer with 2+ years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through the development and execution of test plans, cases, and scripts (manual and/or automated). You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test cases based on requirements and functional specifications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and smoke testing.
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs thoroughly using tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.
• Prepare test reports and provide status updates regularly.
• Work with automation tools (if applicable) to design and execute automated test cases.
• Ensure the software meets quality standards before release.
• Actively participate in Agile/Scrum processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM).
• Solid understanding of database testing using SQL.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Postman, or similar is a plus.
• Basic understanding of APIs and testing RESTful services is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
