Job Description
- As a Compensation & Benefits Consultant at Microsoft's Asia Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Consulting team, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs, primarily focusing on the Engineering organization in India and collaborating on international compensation projects. Additionally, you will be involved in benefits program design and implementation in India. This position is perfect for an experienced individual contributor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to delivering data-driven, market-relevant solutions that align with business and talent strategies. You will report to the Asia Compensation & Benefits Leader and work closely with the India C&B Lead, India HR, Business, and Global Compensation Teams. Your responsibilities will include developing and delivering onboarding and training materials to educate HR partners on compensation programs, policies, and practices. You will provide expert consultation and analytics on complex compensation queries and projects, offering customized solutions to support retention, competitive offers, and levelling recommendations by leveraging contextual business insights. Additionally, you will conduct market analysis and internal benchmarking to support compensation program design, operationalize legal and compliance guidance, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive program adoption and alignment. Furthermore, you will support the rollout of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring integration with broader HR and business initiatives, as well as manage ongoing programs to ensure alignment with Microsoft's reward philosophy and business needs. You will be responsible for monitoring program effectiveness, recommending enhancements based on data insights and stakeholder feedback, and participating in supplier selection and vendor management for benefits-related services. You will also analyze compensation and benefit trends in Asia, especially in India, and provide recommendations for program adjustments to maintain competitiveness in early talent acquisition. To be successful in this role, you are required to have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in compensation, benefits, or people analytics. Strong analytical and statistical skills, as well as high proficiency in Excel, are essential. Preferred qualifications include proven project management skills in a matrixed environment, regional experience across Asia and/or EMEA, familiarity with tools like PowerBI, PowerApps, or CRM systems, and the ability to work with statistical tools and predictive analysis. Demonstrated success in influencing stakeholders and driving program adoption will be an added advantage.
