Role & responsibilities
- Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake data warehousing solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and performance standards.
- Deployment and Administration: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and administration of Snowflake environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake SQL querying, running dbt jobs, deploying dbt jobs, parsing complex json data sets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all data solutions adhere to security and compliance standards, protecting sensitive information and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of Snowflake queries and data pipelines to ensure efficient data processing.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Best Practices: Evaluate and implement best practices for data warehousing, storage, and data integration.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that data solutions align with business objectives.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture.
- Experience with data modeling and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of Python for scripting and automation.
- Automation: Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline data processes and reduce manual intervention

- Automation: Implement automation scripts and tools to streamline data processes and reduce manual intervention
- Snowflake SnowPro core certification is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Science, or a related field.
