Job Description
- As an Associate Director in the ESG Controllership team at Cognizant, you will be responsible for leading the implementation activities associated with Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) reporting for relevant governance and social topics. Your role will involve performing and updating the Double Materiality Assessment, conducting gap assessments, collaborating with internal stakeholders, preparing governance-related disclosures, and monitoring emerging sustainability reporting requirements. You should have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a mix of public accounting and industry roles in sustainability/ESG with a multinational company. A Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Environmental Studies, or Sustainability Studies is required. You must possess a thorough understanding of ESG reporting requirements, including CSRD and European Sustainability Reporting Standards, and familiarity with frameworks like TCFD, SASB, GRI, and GHP is preferred. Experience in internal control risk assessments, Sarbanes Oxley, COSO framework, and internal controls implementation is essential. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are crucial for this role. Professional certifications like CPA/Chartered Accountant or a Masters in Sustainability discipline would be beneficial. Your skills in sustainability, ESG reporting, project management, internal controls, and accounting will be essential in driving the ESG Governance and Social Lead role effectively.,
