Job Description
Dear Candidate,
We have urgent opening for Sr. Manager Projects in Mumbai with one of our well known client in hospitality industry.
The candidate is required to lead end-to-end project planning and execution for restaurant development across multiple locations including new restaurant openings, refurbishments, and brand format rollouts. The candidate will be accountable for ensuring each restaurant project is delivered on time, within budget, and adheres to brand design, operational, and quality standards. This role involves close collaboration with cross functional teams including restaurant operations, culinary, design, procurement, and marketing, as well as the management of vendors, contractors, and consultants. The candidate must demonstrate strong project leadership and proactively manage risks to enable the timely and efficient expansion of the restaurant network and enhance overall business performance.
Role & responsibilities
Project Planning & Budgeting
- Develop comprehensive project schedules, including timelines, critical paths, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Review architectural and service drawings for accuracy, feasibility, cost-saving opportunities, and design compliance.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with business forecasts and financial controls.
- Standardize BOQs in alignment with design and concept guidelines.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Oversee the appointment and performance management of consultants, PMCs, contractors, kitchen equipment suppliers, and other vendors.
- Collaborate closely with internal design teams, procurement, and operations to align project outcomes with brand standards and functional needs.
- Conduct detailed evaluations and negotiations with contractors to ensure value and quality delivery.
Project Execution & Quality Control
- Lead and monitor daily/weekly site progress, ensuring adherence to project milestones and schedules.
- Review and expedite shop drawings, approvals, and change orders in coordination with consultants and clients.
- Chair regular site meetings, raise and resolve project-related issues, and document actionable decisions and meeting minutes.
- Drive adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance standards as per company HSE policies.
Procurement & Cost Efficiency
- Collaborate with procurement to onboard and evaluate new suppliers to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Standardize material specifications (civil, MEP, finishing) and ensure alignment with organizational standards.
- Vet BOQs along with PMCs and designers, and ensure robust controls over material usage and wastage.
Team & Handover Management
- Lead and mentor the project management team to ensure smooth execution, coordination, and timely handovers.
- Facilitate snagging, documentation, and final handover processes to operations and other functional teams
Preferred candidate profile
- B. Tech / BE (Civil) / B Arch
- 10 12+ years experience in project management experience, with at least 35 years in a senior project leadership role.
- Deep understanding of project lifecycle management, from design to execution and handover.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
- Familiarity with BIS standards, NBC codes, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in reviewing architectural, structural, and service drawings.
- Experience with BOQ standardization, budgeting, and cost control mechanisms.
- Understanding of contract management, vendor onboarding, and tendering processes.
- Awareness of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) practices and statutory compliances.
Knowledge of kitchen design and equipment layouts, especially in F&B/hospitality projects (if relevant
