Senior Dot Net Developer -Travel Domain @ Viaggio Management

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer with extensive experience in the Travel Domain, particularly with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) and third-party supplier APIs for hotels, flights, and other travel services. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-performance travel booking platforms and ensure seamless integration with global distribution systems.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable .NET applications for travel services.
  
• Integrate and maintain GDS APIs (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) and other third-party travel service providers.
  
• Collaborate with business analysts and product teams to understand requirements.
  
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  
• Implement web services (REST/SOAP) and APIs for external integrations.
  
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to travel APIs.
  
• Stay up to date with the latest travel technology trends and .NET frameworks.

Preferred candidate profile

• 15- 20+ years of experience in .NET (C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, .NET Core).
  
• Proven experience in the travel industry, especially with GDS systems (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
  
• Hands-on experience integrating supplier APIs for hotels, flights, and other travel-related content.
  
• Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular or React is a plus).
  
• Solid knowledge of MS SQL Server or any RDBMS.
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
  
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
