Job Description
SAP CPQ Lead
Roles and responsibilities
- Candidates with techno-functional skill set on SAP CPQ.
- Provide 2nd/3rd level support for the deployed SAP CPQ solution, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Application Change Management, Enhancements Projects.
- Achieve process SLAs and metrics for productivity and quality within established timelines.
- Ensure service delivery meets quality standards, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Implement new functionalities and improve existing functionalities by articulating and analyzing requirements.
- Design, configure, and deploy solutions with comprehensive impact analysis.
- Document business requirements in detail and create functional specifications and other necessary documentation.
- Configure the SAP CPQ system according to documented requirements.
- Participate in presales activities and engage in discussions with potential new customers to expand the SAP CPQ footprint.
- Prepare and conduct Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and Regression Testing; coordinate with end users for User Acceptance Testing.
- Develop and maintain knowledge artifacts; conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team competencies.
- Manage knowledge transfer for new functionalities and rollouts for self and team.
- Prepare training documentation and e-learning tools; conduct training for Key Users on new or modified processes and functionalities.
- Assess SAP releases for impact on the system and suggest innovations to prevent adverse effects.
- Develop SAP CPQ competency by building core expertise within the team; focus on training and certifications based on job requirements.
Expected experience, skill sets and abilities
- Candidates with techno-functional skill set on SAP CPQ.
- Product Configuration: Products, attributes, constraints, complex configuration rules, catalogues, custom tables.
- Pricing Strategies: Advanced pricing models, discounting rules, margin calculations.
- ERP Integrations (SAP ECC and non-SAP like MS Dynamics): Real-time price and inventory updates.
- Workflow Automation: Approval workflows, guided selling, document generation.
- Salesforce SAP CPQ: Data sync, opportunity-quote integration, approvals.
- Understanding data flow between systems: Middleware (SAP CPI, BTP, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps).
- Excellent experience in CPQ Quote configuration, quote tables, custom quote tabs, quote and quote item fields.
- IronPython scripting.
- UI Customization: AngularJS, basics of JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
- SAP CPQ API Extensibility: Integrations with other systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Performance Optimization: Debugging, optimizing scripts, improving system efficiency.
- Excellent English communication along with presentation, moderation and business-partnering skills.
- The ability to work within a highly distributed team environment, multi-task and prioritize tasks.
- A performance-driven mindset, with strong work ethics and integrity.
Ideally, youll also have:
- The willingness to explore AI Automation in CPQ (AI-driven pricing, discounting, approvals), SAP CPQ on BTP (Business Technology Platform) and leveraging SAP s cloud infrastructure.
- The relevant SAP certification/s.
- Experience working in a multinational organization and/or a big consultancy.
- Working experience with European clients.
- Willingness to work partly or fully during European office hours (CET).
- Willingness to learn about new technologies when the need arises.
