Job Description

Role & responsibilities

System Installation & Configuration

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Set up and configure essential services including:
• Web servers: Apache, Nginx
• Databases: MySQL, MariaDB
• Network services: SSH, FTP, and others

System Monitoring & Maintenance

• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and uptime.
• Apply security patches, software updates, and kernel upgrades as required.
• Conduct regular system and software audits to ensure compliance and performance.

User & Permission Management

• Create and manage user accounts, groups, and access permissions.
• Enforce system policies related to security, access control, and resource usage.
• Implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC) as per organizational policies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Linux systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of server management, service configuration, and security best practices.
• Experience with scripting (Bash, Python) for automation is a plus.
• Certifications like RHCSA, RHCE are desirable.
