Junior Quality Assurance Engineer @ Aquarious Technology

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior QA Tester who is passionate about delivering high-quality software and is comfortable using AI tools to enhance testing efficiency. The ideal candidate will have foundational QA knowledge and hands-on experience leveraging AI for test planning, execution, or documentation.

This role offers a chance to work on a variety of web, mobile, and AI-integrated applications within a fast-paced, innovation-driven IT services environment.

Role & responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated testing across web and mobile platforms.
  
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and bug reports.
  
• Use AI-powered tools (e.g., Testim, Mabl, ChatGPT, or similar) to streamline test documentation, defect reproduction, and exploratory testing.
  
• Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking systems like JIRA, Trello, or Bugzilla.
  
• Collaborate with developers and project managers to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery.
  
• Perform regression testing, sanity checks, and cross-browser compatibility checks.
  
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes using AI automation or insights.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-3 years of experience in software testing (manual or automated).
  
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
  
• Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT for test case generation, documentation, or debugging support.
  
• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Bonus Points (Preferred)

• Exposure to AI-based testing platforms like Testim, Applitools, Mabl, or Functionize.
  
• Basic experience in writing or executing Selenium or Cypress test cases.
  
• Understanding of REST API testing using Postman.
  
• Knowledge of basic performance or load testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
