Job Description:

Trigyn Technologies is seeking a Data Governance / Data Quality Consultant for a remote, contract-based opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in implementing data governance frameworks, managing data quality initiatives, and handling large datasets using modern data technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage data governance and data quality frameworks and best practices.
  
• Conduct data quality testing and data product validation to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  
• Explore and analyze data, define data quality rules, and document data dictionaries and business glossaries.
  
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  
• Write and optimize complex SQL/HQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
  
• Develop shell scripts and analytics dashboards to support reporting needs.
  
• Work with technologies including Hadoop, Hive, HQL, EDW, and Master Data to manage and analyze large datasets.
  
• Effectively communicate across teams to drive data initiatives forward.
  
• Operate independently, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
  

Mandatory Skills:

• 510 years of total IT experience, with 47 years in Data Governance and Data Quality.
  
• Hands-on experience in data quality testing and data governance implementation.
  
• Strong SQL proficiency (complex queries, data validation).
  
• Working knowledge of Hadoop, Hive, HQL, EDW, Master Data, and shell scripting.
  
• Familiarity with Data Governance tools (such as Collibra, Informatica, Talend, etc.).
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Tableau or Power BI for dashboard development.
  
• Exposure to UI development or programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  
• Willingness and ability to learn new tools like PowerApps, Tableau, etc.
