Role & responsibilities
Supervise and inspect the installation of all mechanical components of the ropeway system, including drive stations, sheave assemblies, haul rope, grip systems, cabins, towers, and braking systems. Ensure all mechanical works conform to technical drawings, design specifications, and safety standards (e.g., EN 12929, CEN standards, BIS codes, etc.). Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely completion of site activities. Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and test reports. Coordinate with the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for erection, testing, and commissioning activities. Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. Ensure implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols during site activities. Assist in resolving technical issues and ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements. Participate in factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and trial runs of the ropeway system.Liaise with local authorities and statutory agencies for inspections and certifications.Support the Project Manager in contract administration, technical documentation, and reporting.
