DevOps Engineer. @ IT Service

Job Description

Key Skills: Docker, DevOps, Kubernetes, CICD, AWS, Azure, GCP

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines using declarative scripting tools and practices
• Implement and maintain containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, with a deep understanding of their internal operations
• Set up, automate, and manage multi-environment infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability
• Deploy and optimize infrastructure on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with cost-aware strategies
• Write and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, or equivalent) for automation, monitoring, and deployment tasks
• Configure monitoring and alerting systems, set up dashboards, and define thresholds for proactive issue detection
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate infrastructure support for APIs, UI, and JavaScript/Java-based applications
• Ensure system security, reliability, and performance tuning across all environments
• Maintain documentation for all DevOps processes and configurations

Skills Required:

Mandatory Skills:

• CI/CD: Strong experience with setting up and managing declarative pipelines (5+ years)
• Containerization: Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes, including understanding of internal mechanisms (4+ years)
• Infrastructure Automation: Hands-on experience with automation tools and maintaining multiple environments (4+ years)
• Cloud Platforms: Proven knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP--infrastructure setup, cost optimization, and operations (4+ years)
• Linux & Scripting: Strong experience with Linux systems and scripting in Bash, Python, or similar (4+ years)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Monitoring & Alerting: Setup of dashboards and alerts using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog
• Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, REST APIs, and UI integration from a DevOps perspective

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
