Divisional In-Charge (Electrical Engineer) @ Genus Power

Job Description

Key Qualifications:

• Diploma / Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  
• 4 to 10 years of experience in power distribution, AMISP, or smart metering projects.
  
• Sound knowledge of LT/HT electrical systems, metering protocols, and safety procedures.
  
• Familiarity with DISCOM operations, GIS/mapping, and mobile data capture tools is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure timely and quality installation of smart meters as per project guidelines and DISCOM standards.
  
• Coordinate with contractors, site teams, and vendors to manage field operations and resolve on-site technical issues.
  
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility checks, and ensure adherence to electrical safety norms and regulatory compliance.
  
• Monitor daily progress, maintain installation records, and update project MIS/reporting dashboards.
  
• Provide technical support for meter commissioning, configuration, and integration with backend systems (AMI/HES).
  
• Collaborate with utility teams during inspections, testing, and acceptance procedures.
