Job Description
- As a Mechanical Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in various engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include understanding project requirements and effectively coordinating with the global team. You will be tasked with identifying and addressing deviations and issues in projects in consultation with the Manager. Your expertise in interpreting international codes and standards, as well as Siemens internal standards, will be essential for the detailed design of compressor components. Using your significant hands-on experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter, you will prepare detailed models and drawings. You will also manage engineering Bill of Materials using Siemens NX, Teamcenter, and SAP. Your role will involve performing self-reviews, peer reviews, and leading design reviews. Providing technical support to colleagues and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of engineering documentation will be part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will manage project activities, schedule, and budget using JIRA. Troubleshooting, analyzing failures, preparing root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions will be a crucial part of your responsibilities. Taking initiatives to enhance personal and process efficiency and living by the core values of safety and integrity will be expected from you. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with 2 to 5 years of relevant engineering work experience. Proficiency in creating detailed manufacturing drawings using GD&T as per ASME Y 14.5 is required. The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and demonstrate high flexibility in taking on new tasks are essential qualities for this position. Being proactive, solution-oriented, and having knowledge of turbo machineries and their components will be advantageous.
