Job Description

As a Test Instrumentation Design Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will be responsible for designing and defining test instrumentation for gas turbine components using NX & Teamcenter. Your role will involve creating 3D models, detailing, EBOM, and checking drawings while ensuring the understanding of functional, assembly, and manufacturing requirements to develop innovative solutions. Collaboration within the team and cross-functional teams is essential, along with regular interaction with global teams in the USA, Germany, and Sweden. Strong communication skills and cross-cultural knowledge are required for effective coordination and cooperation. Key Responsibilities: - Understand product structure, design requirements, and principles - Design and detail Gas turbine test instrumentation concepts - Create new product designs, product assemblies, and solve design-related problems - Provide engineering data, timelines, and deliver design activities within agreed timelines Requirements: - B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent - Minimum 3 years of experience in Turbomachinery Design engineering, Test instrumentation design, and Product definition - Proficiency in utilizing mechanical engineering skills to analyze technical requirements and design complex components and assemblies using NX or similar CAD software - Ability to perform engineering calculations and apply GD&T per ASME Y-14.5M - Strong mechanical-design fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of limits and fits - Experience in Gas Turbine Component and System Design or turbomachinery design - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with diverse teams and individuals - Flexibility to work across different time zones Siemens Energy offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to impact global energy systems.
