Quality Assurance Test Lead @ Shark Consultancy

Job Description

As a Testing Lead specializing in Web, API, and Integration Testing, you will be based in Bangalore with a requirement to work from the office for five days a week and an immediate availability notice period. With over 8 years of experience in manual testing, including a strong background in Integration (API) testing and some exposure to automation testing, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing requirements to create detailed test plans and cases, conducting manual testing on web applications across various browsers and devices, performing API testing using tools like Postman, validating data flow and system integrations, and tracking bugs using issue tracking tools such as JIRA. Additionally, you will collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand features and address any issues that may arise. Participation in regression, smoke, and sanity testing cycles, as well as ensuring compliance with QA standards and best practices, will be essential to your success in this role. To excel in this position, you should possess at least 6 years of experience in manual testing of web applications and APIs, a solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, familiarity with API testing tools like Postman and Swagger, proficiency in writing basic SQL queries, knowledge of integration testing concepts, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes and exposure to automation tools such as Selenium would be beneficial.
