Job Description
Salman Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in printing and packaging machinery maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of machines such as rotogravure, flexographic printers, lamination machines, slitters, pouching machines, and die-cutters.
Role & responsibilities
- Conduct preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of all mechanical equipment
- Troubleshoot issues in printing presses, packaging lines, and auxiliary machinery
- Carry out installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
- Maintain logs of maintenance work, machine downtime, and spares usage
- Monitor machine performance and recommend technical improvements
- Coordinate with vendors for spare parts procurement and AMC services
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with production and electrical teams to minimize machine downtime
Preferred candidate profile
- Candidates with 26 years of experience in the printing and packaging industry
- Hands-on experience with rotogravure, flexographic, offset printing machines, and packaging lines
- Worked in flexible packaging, corrugated boxes, or label printing companies
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance, breakdown handling, and preventive maintenance
- Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and gearbox systems
- Basic understanding of PLC operations and automation
- Residing in or willing to relocate to [Job Location]
- Ready to work in shifts if required
- Immediate joiners will be given preference
