Job Description

The role of Manager at Birla Carbon in Noida, India involves executing mechanical maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of the plant. The Birla carbon unit Renukoot, established in 1988, aims to meet the needs of the Tyre Industry and provide steam to Hindalco. The mechanical department is responsible for maintaining trouble-free operations of all mechanical equipment within stringent quality, safety, and environmental standards. The Manager must possess knowledge and experience in maintenance practices to minimize plant downtime and meet maintenance planning requirements. Key Result Areas: 1. Mechanical Maintenance Execution: - Execute preventive, shutdown, and breakdown activities. - Allocate manpower for maintenance jobs. - Maintain inventory of equipment spares. - Ensure proper utilization of spares and control wastage. 2. System Management Compliance: - Implement ISO/TS procedures for quality maintenance. 3. Spare Parts Management: - Initiate procurement actions for required spares. - Overhaul spare equipment at the workshop. 4. Safety: - Implement safety procedures and legal compliance. - Impart on-the-job safety training. - Ensure utilization of PPEs at the shop floor. 5. Training and Development: - Participate in various initiatives to raise competency levels. - Provide training for preventive maintenance and DG maintenance. 6. Maintenance of Turbine/Boiler and Utility Equipment: - Develop plans to improve availability of turbine/boiler. - Organize planned shutdown maintenance. 7. Energy Management System: - Observe compliance with Energy Policy and objectives. - Review departmental EnMS documentation and energy consumption data. - Ensure optimal energy consumption and identify training needs. Qualifications: - Bachelors in Engineering Minimum Experience Level: - 8-10 Years The Manager will report to the General Manager and play a crucial role in maintaining the mechanical operations of the plant efficiently and effectively.,
