Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, implementation, and configuration of database security architecture, software, and controls.
Creates new ways to solve existing production security issues
Design and develop database monitoring and reporting tools.
Monitor and report on access to sensitive data, and respond to data breaches accordingly.
Develop and maintain configuration management solutions.
Investigates intrusion incidents, conducts forensic investigations and mounts incident responses
Evaluates new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities
Establishes plans and protocols to protect data and information systems against unauthorized access, modification, and/or destruction
Delivers technical reports on daily activities
Analyzes and advises on new security technologies and program conformance
Maintains knowledge with current emerging technologies and advancements within Information Security
Takes initiative and responsibility for achieving desired results
Create procedures to help teams make the most out of the available infrastructure.
Other related duties as assigned.
Work with external partners, vendors, and customers to clearly document and distribute FAQs for knowledge transfer and consistently accurate resolutions. Overall responsibility for the operation and security of the Database environment.
Required Technical Expertise:
Minimum 5 years database administration on at least one major relational database platform
Self-motivated and able to quickly assess and understand complex systems
Hands on experience in database security with proven ability to monitor, analyze and report on database security risk thresholds
Strong understanding of database security protocols and security standards
Ability to monitor compliance and communicate with management to ensure policies are effective
Demonstrate strong organizational, research, analytical and/or problem-solving skills to evaluate situations, make recommendations and take effective action
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one of more security domains
Required Skills:
Professional experience withOracle and IBM DB2databases and software
Expertisein installing, configuring & maintaining Oracle security services (Advanced Security, Audit Vault & DB Firewall, DB Vault, Key Vault, Label Sec, Data Masking)
Deep understanding of different Database Security Standards and expertise in implementing and configuring its solutions
Expertise with installing, configuring, supporting Data Security Platforms, preferablyImperva SecureSphere
Mask data using Data Masking tools likeSecuPi, Delphix
Experience with Database Auditing using DB packages and procedures and raising flags whenever necessary
Experience with Data Security Monitoring tools, preferably Informatics Se***e@So***e
Must have experience in implementing ways to record and monitor Database activities
Analyze existing configurations and recommend if any changes are needed to ensure that the databases are compliant to the Security policies
Follow ITIL practices and working knowledge on any ticketing tools
Prepare weekly/monthly reports for SOC
Should have very good communication skill
Strong knowledge of security fundamentals.
