Job Description
- As the Finance Manager - Business Intelligence (BI) and Financial Modelling at Microsoft, you will play a crucial role in establishing and leading the BI excellence function within the International Resource Investment Strategy (IRIS) Finance team. Your responsibilities will include program management, stakeholder alignment, requirement gathering, solution delivery of BI excellence, and financial modeling. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field along with 2+ to 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance. Hands-on experience in building and managing scaled global reporting & analytics is essential. Preferred qualifications include being a Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, or a Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science with 8+ years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities of this role include establishing and scaling BI as a Center of Excellence (CoE) pillar across the organization, leading cross-functional BI programs, prioritizing project pipelines, tracking program performance, and ensuring timely delivery of BI solutions. You will also work closely with stakeholders to understand analytical and reporting needs, translate requirements into functional specifications, and collaborate with vendor teams to deliver actionable dashboards and reports. Moreover, you will be required to develop and maintain financial models to support the RIS team in strategic decisions, integrate financial KPIs into BI dashboards, stay updated with BI trends and technologies, and promote a data-driven culture by democratizing data access and literacy. Your role will involve driving consistency in UI/UX design across BI assets, evaluating and improving BI tools, processes, and methodologies continuously.
