Software Tester - Manual Testing @ Devika Staffing

Job Description

You are a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester with a strong focus on manual testing, looking to join our QA team. Your responsibilities will include validating software quality through exploratory and regression testing, identifying bugs, and ensuring a seamless user experience. While basic knowledge of automation is a plus, your primary focus will be on manual test planning, execution, and defect reporting. You will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing test cases and scenarios for manual testing, executing test cases manually, and documenting results clearly and accurately. Performing functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing will be part of your routine. You will identify, record, and track bugs through to resolution using bug tracking tools such as JIRA or Bugzilla. Validation of bug fixes and retesting will also fall under your purview. Collaboration with developers, business analysts, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage is crucial. You will conduct UI/UX testing to ensure application usability and alignment with business needs. Preparation and maintenance of detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test summary reports, will also be part of your responsibilities. Participation in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, review meetings, and assistance in UAT testing with business users when required are expected. You may also support the QA team in identifying areas for automation and contribute to test script writing. To be eligible for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, along with 1-4 years of experience in manual software testing. A strong understanding of SDLC and STLC, experience in writing and executing test cases independently, good analytical and problem-solving skills, familiarity with testing tools like JIRA or TestRail, and basic knowledge of SQL for backend testing are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, familiarity with Agile methodologies, exposure to basic test automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or Postman for API testing, and experience working in a fast-paced startup or agile environment will be beneficial for this role.,
