Job Description

    You will be joining the Ansys Customer Excellence team to provide technical support to Ansys Zemax customers and Channel Partners globally. Your role will involve applying your engineering expertise in Optics simulation techniques to support real-world engineering simulation projects and integration of Ansys software in design workflows. By using your knowledge, you will offer post-sales technical support, find solutions to technical challenges, and communicate customer feedback to enhance Ansys products. Your responsibilities will include adhering to support processes to ensure timely and high-quality customer service, developing technical expertise in Optics applications, suggesting product improvements, submitting defect reports, and creating best practice documentation. Additionally, you may support Sales and Marketing through demonstrations, webinars, and other activities, as required. You will also participate in strategic team and company initiatives as needed. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Master's degree in physics, Optics, Optical Engineering, or a related field. You are expected to have hands-on experience in an engineering software environment, proficiency in commercial optical design software like Ansys Zemax OpticStudio or Synopsys CodeV, and a strong understanding of optical theory and modeling optical systems. Your problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, interpersonal communication, organizational skills, and ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment are essential for this role. Preferred qualifications include additional years of professional experience in an engineering software environment, familiarity with Python and/or Matlab, hands-on experience with Ansys Zemax OpticStudio software, and prior customer-facing roles.
