Job Description
- As a Software Engineer in Azure Storage at Microsoft, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of digital data by deploying Data Processing Units (DPU) technology. You will be part of an agile and diverse engineering team focused on building performant scale-out block storage on DPU hardware. Your involvement will span across all stages of the storage lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and support. This role will provide you with valuable insights into cloud computing and the experience of building and supporting cloud services at scale. Your primary responsibilities will include working with project leads to gather user requirements for feature sets, incorporating feedback to enhance future designs, and contributing to the architecture of product features. You will collaborate with technical leads to create architectural proposals and implement code for products, services, or features. Emphasizing code reusability, extensibility, and maintainability, you will ensure high quality and reliability in the codebase. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of coding experience in languages such as C, C++, or equivalent expertise. - Experience in developing software pertaining to storage or operating systems. Other Qualifications: - Successful completion of the Microsoft Cloud Background Check. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of Windows or Linux Operating Systems. - Familiarity with distributed systems and storage. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
