Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Power BI to join our data engineering and business intelligence team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing scalable data pipelines, implementing robust ETL processes, and delivering insightful dashboards. This position demands a solid foundation in cloud data architecture, data modeling, and end-to-end BI development using Microsoft Azure tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Azure Data Factory (ADF) & Data Engineering:
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, following Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers).
- Perform complex data transformations, cleansing, and enrichment using ADF and SQL.
- Ingest data from various sources including SharePoint Excel, Azure Blob, and Azure Synapse.
- Create and optimize SQL views, stored procedures, and functions to support reporting needs.
- Integrate with Azure Synapse Notebooks and manage pipeline performance and error handling.
- Ensure data validation, integrity checks, and efficient orchestration across pipeline processes.
Power BI Development:
- Design, build, and publish interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using data from ADF pipelines and other sources.
- Implement data connectivity using Import, DirectQuery, or Hybrid modes.
- Develop secure reports with Row-Level Security (RLS)both static and dynamic using DAX.
- Manage Power BI deployment pipelines across environments (Dev, Test, Prod).
- Create workspace audiences for tailored access (e.g., HR, Finance teams).
- Utilize bookmarks, drill-throughs, slicers, and custom visuals to enhance user experience.
- Integrate Power Apps with Power BI for workflow triggers and interactive reporting solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
Power BI:
- Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query (M language).
- Proficient in data modeling, DAX calculations, and handling active/inactive relationships.
- Experience with drill-through filters, synchronized slicers, bookmarks, dynamic chart axes, etc.
- Familiar with Power Apps integration and report-level actions or workflow triggers.
ADF & Data Engineering:
- Hands-on experience in developing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
- Proficient in SQL scripting, tuning, and debugging.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Blob Storage, and ingesting both structured and unstructured data.
- Experience working with large datasets and cloud-native transformation tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Azure certifications such as DP-203 (Data Engineering) or PL-300 (Power BI).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.Role & responsibilities
