Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable and maintainable backend systems for high-volume data applications.
• Create and improve RESTful API microservices; contribute to overall system design and architecture.
• Review pull requests and provide mentorship to junior developers.
• Write high-quality documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Stay current on modern technologies and best practices, and actively share knowledge with peers.

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years of professional Python backend development experience.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining RESTful APIs, including JWT, caching strategies, and load testing.
• Comfortable with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting using bash.
• Experience in microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Lambda.
• Hands-on with databases like SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.
• Strong focus on testing (unit, functional, integration).
• Deep understanding of API security best practices.
• Skilled in profiling and debugging performance bottlenecks.
• Proficient in Git for version control, with experience in branching, PR management, and code reviews.
• Experience mentoring team members and improving code quality across teams.
