Job Title: Insurance Manager General Accident (Non-Motor)
Location: Training in Dubai (short-term), then based in India
Department: General Insurance Non-Motor Lines (Property, Liability, Marine, etc.)
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Insurance Skills
Deep understanding of Non-Motor General Insurance (Property, Marine, Liability, Engineering, etc.)
Expertise in underwriting principles, risk assessment, and pricing strategies
Strong knowledge of claims handling processes, policy wording, and endorsements
Proficiency in insurance software platforms (Policy admin systems, CRM tools)
Business & Strategic Skills
Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans
Proven track record in portfolio management and loss ratio optimization
Analytical mindset for data-driven decision-making
Exposure to reinsurance arrangements and facultative placements
Capable of identifying market opportunities and launching new products
Leadership & Operational Skills
Strong experience in team building, training, and performance management
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Ability to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
Experience managing cross-functional teams and working in matrix environments
Agile and adaptable in multicultural, fast-paced settings
International Exposure
Willingness and readiness to undergo intensive training in Dubai
Ability to absorb global best practices and localize them effectively
Strong cultural intelligence and interpersonal effectiveness in international teams
Preferred candidate profile
Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Insurance, Finance, or Business). Industry certifications such as ACII, CPCU, or Fellowship/Associateship of III preferred.
Experience: Minimum 8 to13years in Non-Motor General Insurance, including at least 5 years in a managerial or team leadership role
Prior experience with MNC insurers, brokers, or large Indian insurers
Proactive, accountable, and results-driven professional with a customer-first mindset
Strong fluency in English.
Bond Agreement:
The selected candidate will be required to sign a service agreement committing to a minimum of two years of employment with the company. In the event of early resignation or termination due to voluntary action within this period, the employee shall be liable to reimburse the company for the cost of any training and development programs undertaken during their tenure, as per company policy.
