UX Researcher, Health - - WhatsApp Inc. - 5

The ideal candidate will be a senior social scientist or a user researcher experienced in working in technology and healthcare, focusing on product research, privacy, digital divide and strategic, roadmap building. A proven track record of translating insights to actual product changes that inspire senior stakeholders is a must. You should have hands-on experience in conducting mixed methods research individually as well as partnering with agencies.

• Work cross-functionally with design, product management, policy, comms, content strategy, engineering and marketing teams to build truly impactful products
• Design hypotheses and lead studies that examine both user behavior and attitude as well as larger market directions
• Generate actionable insights that fuel ideation and evaluation of our product directions
• Conduct research using a wide variety of qualitative methods and a subset of quantitative methods, such as surveys, analysing census data and publicly available data sets
• Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways
• Ability to ask, as well as answer product and user experience related questions

• MS/PhD, human behavior related field (HCI, Psychology, Health, Social Science, Information Science, etc.)
• 5+ years experience in applied product research
• Command of a broad set of qualitative, quantitative and user-centered design methods
• Basic understanding of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistical concepts
• Ability to ask, as well as answer product and user experience related questions

• Some experience of working with industry experts and C-suite in different industries is preferred
