Database Developer with PowerBI or Qliksense @ IRIS

Mandatory Skills:

• Database Development (SQL OR Oracle)
• Reporting tool exp (Power BI OR Qliksense)
• Python scripting experience
• Performance tuning

Detailed JD:

IRIS Software is looking for Database developers with reporting experience: 5-9 yrs

Primary Skills:

1. Database developer (Oracle OR SQL)
2. Reporting tool experience (power BI or Qliksense)
3. Scripting experience (Python)

• Writes intricate, complex queries involving multiple tables, inner queries, self-joins, outer joins, group by functions etc. independently
• Demonstrates ability to improve performance of simpler queries by applying basic techniques like creating an index, changing data-type, consolidating the query etc.
• Demonstrates ability to write stored procedures leveraging cursors, managing transactions, exceptions etc.
• Describes DB locking, transaction mgmt. features and codes accordingly
• Demonstrates ability to use techniques like explain plan, optimization utilities (tkprof, trace) to analyze and improve performance
• Business Intelligence (Reporting) One of the below at least, preferably both

2.1. Qlik Sense -> QVDs, QVF

2.2. Power BI

• Good experience in Python Scripting.

• Experience with functions like procedures, triggers, packages & performance tuning.
• Responsible for performance tuning activities in the project.
• Use different strategies of database development to meet the client functional requirement.
• Should be able to work independently.
• Should be able to interact with client/business users.
• Good Communication skills required.
