Expected Key Results Activities Principle Accountabilities Conducting Regulatory Assessment of various New Product Development Projects
Providing Clearances and approvals for new product formulae, claims etc.,
Advocacy in External Regulatory Environment as well as Technical Support for both external advocacy and internal implementation.
Working knowledge on Product Approval for non-standardized foods
FSSR Licensing for all Manufacturing units and CFAs and ensure compliance of licensing requirement
Basic knowledge of FSSR, Codex and other National and International Regulations.
Basic knowledge on food import requirement
Working with industry chambers like CII, FICCI etc., in representing the organisation
Working knowledge on representations/comments on Food Authority meeting agendas on notifications/Draft Regulations. To acquire approval for proprietary products
Filing for approval of proprietary products from FSSAI and managing the online process of approval.
Resolving and handling any queries raised by FSSAI on product approval application (label prototype, product safety etc.) within 30 days. To ensure compliance with product labelling regulations
Ensuring compliance with mandatory requirements for product labelling for import products, third party products as well as domestically manufactured products.
Ensuring presence of shelf life, nutritional value, ingredients etc. on the product labels as per the regulatory (FSSAI) guidelines.
Taking corrective actions in case of any deviations.
Ensuring adherence to export regulations
should be familiar with regulatory compliances of countries like Asia/US (Preferable)
Should have the knowledge of labelling & product approvals
To coordinate with legal department to ensure that the products meet the legal compliances
Ensuring legal requirements related to weights and measurements of products are met.
Obtaining new FSSAI licenses for new product launches.
Ensuring timely renewal of FSSAI licenses.
To ensure CFA and warehouse audits
Ensuring CFA and Warehouse audits, licensing and their compliance to regulatory requirements.

Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of food standard guidelines as per FSSAI.
Knowledge of ISO standards, HACCP, GMP, GAMP
Knowledge of SPC and other statistical tools.

Working Experience
Must have: 8-10 years of experience of handling the regulatory affairs company, from FMCG(Must).

UG: B.Tech/B.E. - Any Specialization, B.Sc - Food Technology
PG: M.Tech - Any Specialization, MS/M.Sc(Science) - Food Technology
Doctorate: Doctorate Not Required
