Job Description
Job Summary:
The Principle Agile Software Engineer will contribute to development of Nuance Dragon Medical One. The position holder will work as part of an agile development team for Dragon Medical One and work with an exciting mixture of technologies.
Dragon Medical One is a cloud - based, secure speech recognition solution for the healthcare market, enabling healthcare providers to efficiently document using their voice. The position holder is expected to actively contribute in multiple products with a strong focus on analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving application defects or working on NFR enhancements in a highly collaborative and global environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, t roubleshoot and resolve application defects.
- Actively participate as a core team member in all phases of their development process.
- Design, implement and execute unit tests for code modules or components to ensure high quality code releases.
- Perform peer design and code reviews.
- Mentor other team members to enhance overall productivity of the team.
- Modelling, programming, testing, test - automation, continuous integration and contribution to software release activities.
- Contribution to requirements engineering and top - level design.
- Produce and maintain high quality, scalable enterprise software.
- Participate in functional and technical reviews/sprint reviews.
- Effectively work with multiple stakeholders and teams located in different geographical locations
- Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing
Required Skills:
- Minimum 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with C#, C++ development and scripting languages.
- Excellent troubleshooting and bug resolving skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent design and architecture skills.
- Ability to model, program, test, test - automate, work on continuous integration and contribution to software release activities.
- Excellent with peer design and code reviews.
- Ability to multi - task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
- Good experience on unit testing and other methods to ensure high quality code releases.
- Ability to contribute to requirements engineering and top - level design.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with continuous software integration and deployment.
- Experience with product development for the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Experience with Git.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo and other Atlassian tools.
- Experience with development of Healthcare Information technology applications.
- Familiarity with enterprise - level models of agile development ( scrum at scale, SAFe or similar )
- Experience with professional product development in combination with speech recognition technologies and/or artificial intelligence.
