Job Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for
To effectively co-ordinate all resources devoted to the execution of project and Contracts
Follow project management principles to effectively Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and close the project
To deliver projects and Contracts on schedule at the right time, quality and cost
To ensure well balanced project and Contract teams with resources who are appropriately aligned to tasks
Duties and Responsibilities
Project and Contracts Management
Prepare and Communicate Project and Contracts plans
Monitor and Control projects/contracts by addressing potential and actual problems while measuring and monitoring progress and performance against plans
Manage project/support resources (project/contracts teams, materials, budget)
Close projects/contracts through documentation and transfer of knowledge
Post-commissioning evaluation of projects/contracts success
Provide work completion information required to process invoices, payments
Quality Management
Ensure quality standards are met on delivery, reports and documentation
Project Management
Effectively Deliver project within budget, Quality & Time
Planning, scheduling, monitoring and control of all project activities
Effectively manage change control
Issue Management
Identify potential risks and execute mitigation and contingency plans
Implement work activity
Support Pre-Sales
Provide status report to Management and Client
Manage Project documentation like technical manual, Release notes etc.
Deliver project training as required
Follow-up Milestone payments with Clients
Manage Post-implementation support via an active support database
Pass on the bugs encountered during implementation to the development team and keep track of their resolution
Help Product team with feedback from customer on enhancement and new features
Coordinate with Testing team for verification & validation of errors and bugs in the software
Ensure protection of company assets and compliance to information security policies
Participate or Support organization initiatives e.g. Interview drives, process improvement, Cross Functional Team, etc.
People Management
Appraise project team members based on set KPIs
Liaise with HR for smooth administration of project personnel
Manage contractor and/or vendors associated with project /support work on sites
Groom and Develop team members
Manage Attrition
Relationship Management
Build, maintain and monitor clients relationships to help facilitate delivery
Manage on-going communication/feedback with Technical Heads and the client
Help product team in prioritizing the fixing of bugs and errors
Skills / Attributes Required:
Proven expertise in managing Product/Projects in Insurance Domain using Agile Methodologies
Should have handled team of 50+ members
Should have expertise in managing Product/Projects in Onsite Offshore Model
Strong Communication skills and people management skills
Strong expertise in Risk Management, Cost Management, Resource optimization, Data Analysis
Proven track record of the ability of managing expectations of the intenal and extenal stakeholders
Readiness to travel
Education:
UG: Any Graduate - Any Specialization
PG: Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization
Doctorate: Doctorate Not Required
