Job Description

1. Role Objective

Challenge and ratify/amend any assumptions made that form the basis of the plans and associated deliverables

Experience of identifying and implementing process and continuous improvements, specifically in the project governance and methodology area

Identifying & planning for business impact & support/preparation activities

To provide accurate & timely reporting on all aspects of malomatia projects to include status, progress, RAID, spend versus budget with key variance explanation and mitigation recommendations

Reviewing and reforecasting/budgetary requirements appropriately where the need arises

Identification of risks & issues, & management of each to ensure mitigation/resolution

Escalation where risks to, or issues with, the plan of record cannot be mitigated or resolved

Documenting, & sharing across the team, lessons learned through the life of the project/work stream

Managing relationships with third party suppliers/partners

Mentoring and Coaching program and project staff

Provides both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks and issues and ensures proper and timely escalation to project sponsors and the CIO.

Drives performance management through the effective use of the Business Technologies Balanced Scorecard metrics, ensuring that the PMO Dashboard metrics a) drive improvement, and b) are fully understood and embedded throughout all PMO functions, operations, and discussions.

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

(Special behavioral skills, knowledge and experience needed for the satisfactory performance of the job)

1. Skills & Experience:

15-20 years delivering projects and programmes, managing all aspects of the work from creation, budgetary management through to commencement of benefits realisation and adoption of lessons learned.

Professional qualifications - such as MSP, Prince 2 Agile methods and any other supporting qualifications and experience

2. Behavioral Skills:

Commercial Awareness

Strategic awareness

Ability to think laterally & identify range of solution options

Proven business change leadership experience

Proficient user of all MS Project packages including MS Project

Experience of Project Management resourcing, budgeting, tracking and other tools
