Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
The test manager is responsible for all activities involved in the end to end testing process, including strategy, planning, execution, quality assessment, reporting and issue resolution.
It is an important role for successful delivery of technical features to ensure they meet the business needs and are of high quality.
As a test manager you will be part of the development team with the following tasks:
Deliver the test aspects of feature development on time and within budget while meeting all quality objectives.
Develop and sign off on the master test plan, including test strategy, test scenarios and test cases.
Prepare and execute the different test activities, monitor the progress and report the result of the test execution to relevant stakeholders.
Have the responsibility for the test scope including function testing, integration testing, stress and performance testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing.
Create test data and test scripts as needed.
Work with project team to ensure requirements and designs are understood in order to develop positive and negative test cases.
Participate in the evolution of company level best practices, standards, and policies related to testing.
We are looking for:
Experience & Technical Skills
Must have
5+ years of experience developing effective test plans, including test strategy, test scenarios and test cases in a Java JEE and JSE application environment.
5+ years of experience testing back-end, message driven solutions using JMS.
Experience with SQL, Oracle database.
Experience testing solutions using Web Logic.
Strong knowledge of XML.
Ability to organize, register and reuse test cases.
Ability to work independently and drive to ensure requirements are met and product meets quality expectations
Ability to learn applications and new tools quickly to develop test cases and test data.
Linux RHEL familiarity
Advantage if
Experience with JMS, MDB (Message Driven Beans) and IBM MQ
Experience with test tools, such as HP Quality Center or alike.
Experience with scripting: Python, PERL, PHP
Experience with IBM's ODM (Operational Decision Manager) Business Rule Management System (XOM, BOM, Rule Studio)
