About the role:

Telstra s Intelligent Process Automation Operations Centre (IACoE) is focussed on delivering business benefits through the deployment of Telstra s Digital workforce. Current capabilities are primarily Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and machine learning capabilities such as NLP and chat bots

This role is responsible for managing the run function of Telstra s digital workforce, partnering with key line business leads, vendors and technology leads to consistently exceed operational performance metrics, deliver excellent customer experience and to drive efficiency and improvements

To be successful in the role, you ll.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishing a world-class Intelligent Process Automation Centre of Expertise and high performing support team
  • Providing exceptional customer experience, delivering excellent operational support for Telstra s digital; workforce.
  • Ensuring that business benefits are maximised, managing change throughout the post production lifecycle of Telstra s Digital workforce
  • Advocating and championing continuous improvement to operational metrices

  • Take reasonable care for your own safety and the safety of others, comply with and implement any reasonable Telstra HSE instruction, policy, standard, minimum requirement or procedure, and support Telstra to meet its duties under the relevant safety and environmental legislation

Decision Making Authority

This role is expected to

  • provide leadership across all operational aspects of managing post production lifecycle
  • lead cross functional teams to deliver excellence
  • manage the IACoE operational budgets ($ s TBA)
  • own and deliver the operational strategy and annual operating plan

Qualification -

Essential -

  • 10 - 12 years of experience
  • Required: Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, Commerce or Engineering with post-graduate degree preferred (Business / Engineering)
  • Hands on experience building, designing and supporting RPA solutions using established tools (e.g. BluePrism (Preffered), Automation Anywhere, UiPath or equivalent software) or broader technical development experience coupled with a strong interest in RPA
  • Effective communication and facilitation with key business stakeholders to capture and represent immediate business requirements to long term strategic objectives
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative, team-based environment
  • Experience with agile development principles
  • Passion for learning and working with leading edge technologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, business and technical teams
  • Comfortable working with virtual and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience operating in large, complex project structures

High Desirable -

  • MBA or MCS qualifications
  • Blue Prism Developer accreditation
  • Significant experience in operational experience in delivering Blue Prism robotics and automation solutions for large enterprise organisations
  • Familiar with DevOps tools application and automation - Jira, Jenkins, Bamboo, Confluence, Kubernetes, Ansible
  • Capability to interpret business ideas/requirements, develop, test and deploy solutions using agile/scrum and DevOps methodologies
  • Proven work experience in as a computer software engineer or software developer with application mastery of Software Engineering tools, process and techniques
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Docker, Puppet, Chef or other platforms is a plus
  • Business analysis
  • Process improvement
