Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Position Overview
Autodesk is currently recruiting for an Enterprise Cloud Services Operations Engineer to support a Service Delivery Center in Bangalore, India. Please note this role requires working in rotating shifts with occasional weekend work.
The Cloud Engineer would need to have at least 6 years of experience. As the Cloud Engineer / VMware admin, you will participate in the creation and maintenance of private cloud infrastructure hosted on Cloudstack, test and production environments with a goal of high availability, fault - tolerance and scalability. Responsibilities
  • To design, install, and administer virtualization products
  • Identify and implement the rectified operational issues
  • Upgrade and Maintain VMWare ESX and GSX servers and virtual sessions
  • Work on major severity and complex server issues
  • Ensure the Service Requests and all pre - requisite checks are followed diligently
  • VMware & Cloudstack with Full - stack IT experience: nix, Windows, hardware, network/firewall concepts, public cloud services, LDAP/Active Directory, DNS
  • Automation expert: Ansible, Chef, Docker, & other integration tools if any
  • Hands - on experience with any of the following languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, Node.js, shell scripting (Windows/nix), Micro - services and RESTful web services
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with source control tools like GitHub, SDLC, Jenkins and CI/CD

Minimum Qualifications
  • Cloudstack, Any programming language, VMware [ESXi hosts & vCenter], Remote Datacentre management
  • Hybrid Cloud Services: expert in understanding the complete stack of On - Prem & Public Cloud
  • Automation & Coding expert
  • Familiarity with migrations from On - prem to Public Cloud
  • Experience deploying applications on Amazon Web Services or similar cloud computing platforms
  • Experience working with overseas counterparts to direct their efforts in follow - through development activities a plus
  • Perform in 24 x 7 environment in shift roaster and attend calls whenever assigned
  • Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes
  • Performance and capacity management on VMWare servers and complex health check - ups
  • Assume personal responsibility for resolving problems in most effective way possible within SLA reaching root cause and preventing problems
  • Adhere to all the account specific technical as well as general process / procedures
