Executive - Test Automation Engineer - Gurgaon @ Macquarie Global

Technology Division is part of Corporate Operations Group and supports all of Macquarie with strong business and enterprise - wide solutions. Our portfolio of work spans across significant strategic initiatives, business initiatives and external and regulatory initiatives. The Security Finance is an integral part of Technology and operates in close alignment to the Equity Finance business.

We are currently looking for a Test Automation engineer, who will be working closely with the Security Finance team, with a primary focus on supporting our Synthetics and Stock Borrow Loan business around automating & enhancing the current automation pack, used for both regression and functional testing. The successful candidate will join a team of testers to deliver on API driven automation framework & must be able to withstand pressure in a time - sensitive project environment while being proactive in calling out issues as and when they occur.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the test automation team in Gurugram, QA team in Manila as well as the global development team to analyze and build a comprehensive test automation suite (functional, component, regression and performance tests)
• Work on continuous integration framework for the automation suite, ensure compatibility with cloud - based infrastructure.
• Follow test plan / schedule for building the test automation scripts, execution of these scripts and reporting of test results on daily basis.
• Clearly highlight and escalate impediments that could impact the test deliverables.
• Thoroughly and clearly document all test scripts, review with test manager and team.
• Clearly document test scripts execution results on Confluence, STASH repositories.
• Ensure breakdown of tasks, dependencies / pre - requisites & end objectives are clearly communicated and documented.
• Maintain high integrity, ensure delivery of software of the highest standards in a timely manner.

Key Skills:

• At least 5+ years experience in software application testing with a minimum of 2 years into software test automation.
• Strong experience in preparation of test automation scripts, building test estimates, tracking test execution& reporting progress until project completion
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related fields SQL hands on experience.
• Primary experience in software automation testing tools and framework using Java (Cucumber) Selenium, REST API.
• Hands on SQL on experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Flexibility to work in an environment with changing priorities
• Highly self - motivated, adaptable and results oriented individual.

Other Desirable Skills:

• Prior exposure to financial services domain will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Robot framework & Python scripting would be an added advantage.
• Prior experience using any test management or defect management tool (HP Quality Centre or Jira would be preferred)
